A Few Of This Season’s Favorites

This wedding season has been another busy one at Nature Nook Florist & Wine Shop—and it’s not over yet! In this post we’re sharing a few of our favorite designs with you, and be sure to check out our Bride’s Showcase for slide shows of great pics from some of our brides. I usually try to take pictures of all of the bouquet designs before they leave the shop, unfortunately this year there just wasn’t time in many cases. We’re hoping to get more pictures from our bride’s photographers. We’ll post them as they come in.

June Wedding Bouquets From White to Bright

Some brides love the traditional white wedding bouquet while others have a brighter idea. We’re highlighting here some of our bride’s bouquets from this June that ran the gamut from white bouquets, to soft pastel color bouquets, to bright colored bouquets like the one shown above for a hot pink and orange themed wedding.

A hot pink and bright orange bouquet complemented this June bride’s pink and orange themed wedding at the lovely Summit Hills Country Club in Crestview Hills, KY. The ceremony took place on the country club grounds followed by a reception in the club house. The tables were adorned with floral centerpiece arrangements in our tall rental vases using hot pink and bright orange flowers. Chairs around the tables included matching pink and orange sashes.

One of our June brides celebrated with a beautiful ceremony at her family’s home. She chose soft colors and soft textured flowers for her wedding bouquet including pink cottage roses, spray roses, hydrangea, godetia, heather and sweet pea. The yard was beautifully decorated and the ceremony was performed under a beautiful arbor built by the bride’s uncle as a gift to the bride and her groom. We decorated the arbor with a mix of coordinating flowers.

Another bride in June liked the natural look of succulents so we created a bouquet using a combination of flowers, succulents and greenery. This bouquet has a fresh and natural feel with hydrangea, green trichillium, jade green roses, white stock, cream lisianthus and green brunia berries. The tables for the reception at Crowne Plaza were decorated with our tall rental vases filled with white hydrangea and curly willow vine, and rental cylinder vases using hydrangea, larkspur and bupleurum.

Our romantic June bride chose pale pink peonies, with white listhianthus and ranunculus. Her reception decorations at The Madison in Covington, KY used our rental vases with stems of white orchids floating in water in each vase topped with light pink hydrangea.

Finally, the traditional white bridal bouquet is always a lovely choice. This example includes white hydrangeas, stock, mini calla lillies, roses and alstromeria. You can view more white bridal bouquets in our Bouquets by Color section. We decorated this bride’s church ceremony at St. John’s church in Harrison, OH with our large silk rental urns and pedestals. Then we headed out to the Dearborn Country Club in Aurora, IN to decorate the reception tables with 5″ cube vases overflowing with beautiful fresh arrangements of hydrangea, green fuji mums, hot pink carnations and hot pink alstromeria lily.

Justine’s Victorian Wedding at Laurel Court

Justine and Vince had a spectacular June wedding this summer. Her Victorian style showed through in every detail of the wedding from her beautiful dress to all of the details in her flowers, and even the fabulous dessert table at the reception. The couple was married at St. Xavier Church in downtown Cincinnati, then they celebrated with a beautiful reception at Laurel Court. Laurel Court, which used to be the Buddy LaRosa mansion, has so many great Victorian details it was the perfect place for Justine’s theme.

Sarah’s Pretty Pink Bouquet

Sarah and Timmy had their ceremony and reception at Dearborn Country Club in Aurora, IN. Her pretty pink bouquets were bright and beautiful with her bridesmaids cobalt blue dresses. You can see more of her wedding pics on our Bride’s Showcase page. Sarah’s bridal bouquet was so elegant with deep pink peonies, sweet pea, hot pink roses, pink spray roses and lots of fragrant stephanotis.

April Wedding Flowers with tulips and calla lily

Showered With April Wedding Flowers

Nature Nook was showering April wedding flowers all over Cincinnati, OH this past weekend.  I love the crisp, clean look of this yellow and white tulip and calla lily bouquet. The lily grass and a few yellow roses add dimension and texture. The addition of rolled tropical leaves around the base frame the beauty of the bouquet. This wedding was at St. Bernard Church and the reception was celebrated at Nathanael Green Lodge in Green Township on Wesselman Rd. This is the perfect place for small to medium size receptions. It’s set back in a pretty wooded area and the coordinators are very nice to work with. I’ve heard they go above and beyond for their brides.
