April Wedding Flowers with tulips and calla lily

Nature Nook was showering April wedding flowers all over Cincinnati, OH this past weekend.  I love the crisp, clean look of this yellow and white tulip and calla lily bouquet. The lily grass and a few yellow roses add dimension and texture. The addition of rolled tropical leaves around the base frame the beauty of the bouquet. This wedding was at St. Bernard Church and the reception was celebrated at Nathanael Green Lodge in Green Township on Wesselman Rd. This is the perfect place for small to medium size receptions. It’s set back in a pretty wooded area and the coordinators are very nice to work with. I’ve heard they go above and beyond for their brides.

DSCN0501Our second bride with April wedding flowers this weekend chose lovely purple and white bouquets to coordinate with the bridesmaid’s eggplant color dresses. Fragrant stock, orchids, roses and lovely anemone were part of her wedding bouquet. The bridesmaid bouquets had purple iris to set their bouquets apart.

The wedding ceremony was at St. Xavier Church then the reception was celebrated at The Cincinnati Club, both in downtown Cincinnati. The Cincinnati Club is one of those beautiful old historical buildings downtown with carved wood fireplaces and incredible scenes painted on the walls.

Our tall rental vases filled with white hydrangea and curly willow branches made a statement on the tables. We also used some of our low, round bowls with a submersible light covered by stones, and purple orchid blooms floating in water. The cake was decorated with flowers and sitting on a clear glass riser created by placing 4″ cube vases with lights in them under a clear plate of glass. This looked really cool! Unfortunately, my camera didn’t really capture how nice this looked. I’ll bet it was awesome with the lights dimmed in the evening!

Our third April wedding flowers this weekend were for a friend’s inlaws that got remarried. How awesome is that! They had the wedding ceremony and a family celebration at Kenning’s Circle K restaurant on Bridgetown Rd. in Dent. I hope they had a super wonderful celebration that was even better than their first wedding! Her bridal bouquet included hot pink and light pink roses, soft white hydrangea, fragrant white freesia and touches of bright green.
